What we collect

This website

Nothing. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no embedded third-party content and no cookie. The page loads only files served from this domain — including the typeface, which is self-hosted precisely so that visiting this page tells no one else that you did. No account is required to read anything here.

The application

MyMoneyPot is a desktop application. Your accounts, transactions, budgets, goals and reports are stored in a database file on your own computer, encrypted at rest with a passphrase that only you hold. We do not operate a server that holds your financial data, and the application does not transmit it to us.

The application never asks for your online banking credentials, because it imports the statement files your bank already provides. Optional on-device assistance for reading awkward statements runs entirely on your machine and is off by default.

If you turn on cloud sync

Cloud sync is optional and off by default. When you enable it, your data is encrypted on your own device before it leaves, and written to a cloud folder that belongs to you — your Google Drive. We do not operate that storage, cannot read what is written to it, and hold no key.
